Abstract
Captain (USNR ret.) Kathryn D. Sullivan, PhD, flew on three Shuttle scientific research missions and was the first American woman to walk in space. A geologist and oceanographer, Sullivan later went on to serve from 2013 to 2017 as Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This interview was performed by Astronaut Tom Jones.
