Abstract
An interview with a business executive recognized as a leader in the field of environmental control and life support [ECLSS] and thermal control in extreme environments. The president and CEO of Paragon Space Development Corporation, his efforts have included the development and qualification of experimental flight hardware flown on the Space Shuttle, the Mir space station, the Russian Progress vehicle, and the first commercial payload on the International Space Station. Previously he was the chief design engineer for the International Space Station Solar Array Program for Lockheed Martin.
