Abstract

In September 1967, artwork of a mysterious satellite appeared on the cover of a space magazine. Later a similar mystery satellite went on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. But no explanation was provided for either one. Now, recently declassified documents make it possible to identify the satellites, which were related to a top-secret signals intelligence satellite program in the 1960s.
