Published in Quest Volume: 27 #1 (2020)
Abstract
Frank J. Cepollina, also known as “Cepi,” spent his long NASA career at the Goddard Space Flight Center. Many people call him the “Father of On-Orbit Servicing.” Undoubtedly his greatest success was developing tools and equipment for the five Shuttle HST servicing missions from 1993 to 2009. In this oral history he discusses his career and lessons learned during the repairs for the Hubble, Solar Max, and other missions.
